Pension and Benefits Law: Are You Ready for 2012?
Please join our pension and benefits experts, Andrea Boctor and Bruce Pollock, for an in-depth discussion on recent significant court decisions and regulatory changes that will affect plan sponsors in 2012.
We will focus on new issues plan sponsors may face as a result of new case law and recent changes to pension legislation, as well as some practical tips for dealing with the fallout.
As many Canadian pension and benefit plan sponsors have moved from preparing their financial statement under Canadian GAAP to IFRS, our guest speaker, Uros Karadzic, will discuss the similarities and important differences between the two standards. This presentation will focus on certain legal, financial and HR considerations that may assist plan sponsors in addressing the increased costs and volatility under IFRS.
