Stikeman Elliott acting as Canadian Counsel to CNOOC in its $19.5 billion proposed acquisition of Nexen
Stikeman Elliott is acting as Canadian counsel to China National Offshore Oil Company in its proposed acquisition of Calgary-based Nexen Inc. for approximately US$19.5 billion in cash, including the assumption of debt. The transaction was announced on July 23, 2012.
