Stikeman Elliott receives diversity innovation award for Advancement of Women Lawyers priority
Stikeman Elliott is a proud recipient of the Profiles in Diversity Journal's Award of Excellence, presented as part of the 12th annual International Innovation in Diversity Awards. The firm was recognized for its innovative action plan that is focused on the advancement of women lawyers in the areas of Retention, Advancement to Partnership, Business Development and Leadership. The action plan is based on a simple premise - "Make it Personal" - and asks firm members to take personal accountability (for example, by identifying their potential unconscious biases and diversifying their teams) to help create an environment in which more women can succeed.
The International Innovation in Diversity Awards celebrate businesses worldwide that endeavour to include diversity at the forefront of their business goals and implement new thinking around diversity to all areas of business planning and processes, including recruitment, performance metrics and driving growth.
