The Students and Stagiaires Committee at Stikeman Elliott's Montreal office is made up of sixteen lawyers whose role is to recruit the firm's eventual successors and to supervise the students and articling students' development during the summers they will work with us and during their articling period.
Through regular meetings and discussions, members of the committee supervise all aspects of our students and articling students' professional development.
In addition, during the recruiting process, the members split into several teams. These teams are responsible for meeting candidates from the various universities and submitting their recommendations to the other members of the Committee. Each year, at the end of the "Course aux stages", the Committee members meet to select the candidates to whom an offer for an articling position will be made.
