Hélène Bussières named as a Fellow of the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers in the Class of 2020

Stikeman Elliott is proud to announce that Hélène Bussières, partner in the Employment and Labour Group in Montréal, has been elected as a Fellow of the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers in the Class of 2020.

Founded in 1995, the College is a professional association that recognizes leading lawyers in the practice of employment and labour law across North America. Fellowship is offered to only the most distinguished lawyers and is considered to be one of the highest honours that can be accorded to employment law practitioners in the Americas.

With over 25 years of experience advising major corporations on all aspects of Canadian employment and labour law at both federal and provincial levels, Hélène is recognized by the industry’s most significant directories for her diverse practice and extensive expertise. She covers all major areas of employment law, including acting for clients before civil courts and administrative tribunals, negotiating collective agreements, drafting executive employment agreements and policies, and providing guidance on governance and executive compensation matters.

Hélène also has considerable experience coordinating employee-related matters in commercial transactions, such as asset and share acquisitions. She has developed extensive expertise in strategic human resources planning for her clients across Canada and maintains a successful advisory employment practice.
