Stéphane Rousseau is an affiliated scholar and a professor at the Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Law where he holds the Chair in Governance and Business Law. He teaches and does research in corporate law, corporate governance and capital markets law.
Professional Activities
Stéphane is a member of the Comité des personnes morales du Barreau du Québec Inc. In 2008-2009, he was a member of the Quebec Minister of Finance’s Advisory Committee in connection with the reform of the Companies Act.
Background
Stéphane is a visiting professor at the l’Université Paris I – Panthéon-Sorbonne, the Université Paris-Descartes, the Université du Luxembourg, and the Université Paris Sorbonne Abou Dhabi. He has also made conference presentations at university and professional forums in Canada as well as in many other countries. Stéphane has also published several studies on corporate governance, the duties of directors, and the regulation of capital markets.
